ยท Dr Lello has been practicing in Family Medicine
since 1988. He attended both Auckland and Otago Universities completing
medical degrees in 1986. He had postgraduate training at Johns Hopkins
University, Baltimore and spent several years as a teaching and research
fellow in the Departments of Paediatrics and General Practice at the University
of Auckland. He gained Fellowship of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners
in 1998 and has practiced clinical medicine in Australia, Vanuatu and
New Zealand.
He has been the principal of Marsden Medical since 1994.
He has postgraduate qualifications in community paediatrics, and general
practice and special interests in mens health, screening and preventative
care and the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals. He holds an honorary senior lectureship in General Practice at the University
of Auckland and examines in General Practice for the Medical Council of
New Zealand and the Royal NZ College of General Practice. He has been an accredited teacher in the General Practice Education Programme since 2004 and has mentored many registrars at the practice. He performs independent primary care research for a number of agencies
and government organisations and is a current member of the Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Advisory Committee for the NZ Governments pharmaceutical management Agency (PHARMAC).
Jim is married with three children.
