Dr. Deborah Waxman trained at the University of Nottingham graduating with B. Med. Sci. (Hons.) (1992) and her basic medical degree B.M. B.S. in 1994.

She completed her Advanced Driving Training in 1995. She has trained and kept accredited with Doctors for Sexual Abuse Care (DSAC) and has assisted the NZ Police with forensic examinations.

Prior to moving to Auckland Deborah has worked in the Central North Island part time where she has worked in both hospital and community positions.

She is kown for her no-nonsense, direct and honest approach to diagnosing and treating medical problems but also for her caring, and empathetic approach towards those requiring more emotional input into their illness.

Dr Waxman has three early school age children. She enjoys the challenges with keeping current with medicine, and providing for her children with her chosen profession. She enjoys reading, knitting and boating when time permits.
